Speakers & Topics :

  • How to Stay Ahead of UDAAP Risk in a Changing Regulatory Landscape
As more and more regulatory change is occurring under the umbrella of Unfair, Deceptive or Abusive Acts or Practices, UDAAP, it’s becoming increasingly important to consider UDAAP in your everyday decision-making regarding products, services, customer service practices and third party vendor selection. While a good regulatory compliance program can reduce the risk of UDAAP violations, a dedicated focus on UDAAP is needed in today’s regulatory environment. This session will walk you through the evolution of UDAAP, the focus of the CFPB and other regulators, recent enforcement actions and risk management tools to help you assess your UDAAP risk.

  • Regulatory Update and Enforcement Actions
This session will cover regulatory changes impacting banks, as well as review recent enforcement actions and go over any conclusions drawn from them.

  • Fair and Responsible Banking Hot Topics
Be prepared for your next fair lending exam: hear from an attorney on the front lines about the latest legal and regulatory developments regarding fair and responsible banking, including redlining and discouragement of applications. Importantly, we will discuss why no bank or credit union is immune from regulatory scrutiny under laws like ECOA, FHA, and UDAAP.

  • RESPA Issues in the New Administrative Law Environment
This session will provide an overview of RESPA’s anti-kickback provisions, overview/impact of recent SCOTUS administrative law decisions and review compliance hot topic RESPA issues.

  • Oh No, Overdrafts
This session will cover hot topics in the overdraft space including the opt-in process, fee caps, regulator expectations and enforcement actions and best practices for compliance monitoring and analysis.
