Compliance & Risk Professionals: Earning and Keeping a Seat at the Table
Compliance and risk professionals are expected not only to mitigate risk, but also to serve as strategic partners. Earning a position of authority alongside peers and management requires more than regulatory expertise—it demands influence, executive presence, and a true understanding of the business. This session will explore how compliance and risk professionals can establish and reinforce their roles as key voices in decision-making. This session will consider how to: (1) position compliance as a strategic function that drives value and protects the enterprise in a rapidly evolving regulatory and business landscape; (2) build trust and credibility with key constituents, including directors, senior leadership, including members of the C-Suite and middle management; (3) communicate with clarity to influence outcomes while breaking down organizational silos; and (4) navigate internal politics while preserving the independence and integrity needed for the Compliance function.
